Unauthorised intitutes - Unauthorsied Courses

This is the world of competition. Every one are making themselves fit to survive in the changing world. As a first step people choose to study and acquire knowledge to deliver on their future dreams. Many institutes are there who offer courses to the aspiring students for making a base for them in making their dream come true.

But at the same time many unauthorised institutes are also there who offer fake and bogus course degrees and cheat students. They not only kill the future but even kill the motivation of the students who opt for their courses.

Recently it has been under knowledge that the famous Frakfinn institute of Air hostess is not only illegal but even doling out fake course certificate. One of the students opted for Btec (HNC) in aviation, hotel and travel management which is an Edxcel UK course. Thanks to the father of this student who triggered that the course is a fake when when he look at the degree offered to his son mentions Btec (I). Since this is an authorised course by UK thus 'I' should not be mentioned, which stands for "International'

The aggrieved father and his son even sent a mail to Edexel about the genuineness of the certificate. In response to the mail Edexcel UK confirmed that they do not have such courses. Frankfinn is even not registered in India and they are cheating many students.

Frankfinn is not the only one but there are many institutes even which are authorised but offer courses at locations where they do not have permission or offer courses for which they are not authorised and approved.

Students need to be smarter now, they should not run after degree and before they enrol for any courses they should check the authenticity of the course.

We will get back on this as to how one can save themselves from such fraud in next article

CBI New Corruption List

Not surprisingly Banks are heading all the way in INDIA for being no 1 in corrupted list published by RBI. The report published by the CBI ranks the most corrupted central institutions in following order:

  • Banking
  • Insurance
  • AICTE
  • Railways

The organisation as per the reports which is more prone to fraud and corruptions are

  • Banking
  • Protector of Emigrants
  • Railway Protection Force
  • CGHS
  • ESI Corporation

The common methods of fraud in banking's are:

  1. Forged or manipulated document
  2. Inflated property and stocks value

Incidence of employee fraud and external fraud has risen sharply in banking domain.

The reason for losses due to employee can be attributed to:

  1. Non Compliance of processes and polices
  2. connivance with mediator

In one of the case of SBI the accused C Raghuram has taken loan on fake financials. It has been to Notice that he has in fact cheated several banks like this. The accused opened fictitious accounts in OBC bank and created multiple mortgages for a flat which in turn has been given as collateral to different banks like SBI, SBBJ, Central Bank of India & Vijaya Bank.

In another case loan wee sanctioned to many customer by an employee of state bank of Hyderabad without conducting due diligence

Thus with regard to banking it seems that:

  1. Data standardisation for de-duplication check is missing
  2. Data sharing within several banks are missing which might prevent the fraud
  3. Cross check or maker and checker concept are being compromised for cost saving
  4. Employee pre-screening is not being done properly or the same is missing

These all organization need to take some major steps to curtail the fraud (internal and External) otherwise the nature of business they are into will keep them hanging on such grades
